TechnoChair
Dealer-focused seating specialist combining configurable South African manufacture with selected complete imported chair ranges.
What this partner brings.
TechnoChair is a Johannesburg-based office-seating manufacturer and importer that has served the dealer market since 1996. Its range spans mainstream executive, managerial and task seating through to visitor, tub, industrial and heavy-duty applications. The business does not sell directly to the public; instead it supports a trusted dealer network with configurable locally manufactured chairs and selected complete imported ranges.
What they can supply.
- Executive and managerial high-back seating
- Operator, task and typist chairs
- Visitor, conference and guest seating
- Tub, occasional and café seating
- Bar stools and stackable multi-purpose chairs
- Industrial, factory and laboratory chairs
- Draughtsman conversions and specialist footrests
- 6x6 heavy-duty and extended-use seating
How the range is constructed.
Injection-moulded nylon and polymer shells, breathable mesh, moulded seat foam, plywood and reinforced heavy-duty inner shells, tubular powder-coated steel frames, nylon, chrome and polished-aluminium bases, commercial upholstery, bonded leather, castors, gas lifts and mechanisms including swivel-and-tilt, synchro, knee-tilt and Donati systems.
How the offer can be configured.
Locally manufactured chairs can be configured through upholstery classes and COM fabrics, bases, armrests, visitor frames, mechanisms, seat slides, headrests, castors, foot rings and draughtsman conversions. Imported ranges are more stock-led, while availability and deadlines are confirmed per order through a dealer.
Sectors and environments.
Corporate workplace, executive offices, operator and call-centre environments, reception and waiting areas, meeting and conference spaces, factories, workshops, laboratories, training, hospitality and extended-use control-room applications.
What is verified—and what still needs confirmation.
The June 2024 commercial source marks model ranges with three- and five-year guarantees and specifies load ratings up to 185kg on selected heavy-duty mechanisms and chairs. The current website describes heavy-duty ranges for extended daily use and ratings up to approximately 180kg, but no consolidated current warranty schedule or independent BIFMA, SABS or ergonomic test certificates were supplied. Product-level ratings and guarantee terms should be confirmed before specification.
